Your Job Flint Hills Resources is seeking a
Sr. Business Analyst to join our team. We are seeking an individual who is a key member of our Accounts Payable team, responsible for driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and technology adoption across Accounts Payable processes. This role will evolve to combine accounting expertise, analytical thinking, and technical aptitude to support AI-enabled work processes, exception management, reporting, automation initiatives, and future-state business transformation.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who enjoys leveraging technology to improve business outcomes, eliminate manual work, identify root causes, and build scalable solutions. This individual will serve as a leader within the team by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and partnering across multiple business functions to drive meaningful change.
What You Will Do - Transformation & Process Improvement
- Support and optimize existing applications and business processes while driving the transformation to an exception-based operating model through the adoption of AI, automation, and next-generation workflow technologies
- Analyze process issues and implement practical solutions that reduce manual work
- Future-State Exception Management & Operational Support
- Investigate and resolve complex Accounts Payable exceptions and recurring issues
- Serve as a resource for Accounts Payable processes, controls, and operational reporting
- Technology & Data Analytics
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support business decisions
- Support automation, AI-enabled tools, and technology enhancements by identifying opportunities and testing solutions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders and leadership to resolve operational challenges and support process improvements
- Partner with business teams & leadership to gather requirements and support the testing and implementation of process and system enhancements
- Leadership & Team Development
- Share knowledge, provide training, and support team members on processes, tools, and reporting
- Assist with complex issues and troubleshooting across the team
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - 3+ years of accounting, accounts payable, finance, business process, or related experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Ex: pivot tables, formulas, VBA coding, macros)
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Access, or similar platforms to provide insights and support business decision-making
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with any of the following: Microsoft Copilot, AI and automation tools, SQL or database management, or Reporting and dashboard development
- Experience supporting automation, workflow, or digital transformation initiatives
- Experience with exception management and operational reporting
- Experience training, mentoring, or leading projects
