POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Business Analyst - Finance will serve as a key member of the Finance organization, partnering closely with the CFO, Finance and business leaders across Sales, Licensing, Merchandising, Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain and M&A.

The role will play a critical part in driving profitable growth, identifying margin improvement opportunities, evaluating strategic investments, supporting acquisition activities, and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze financial and operational performance trends, identifying key risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic planning.
  • Develop business cases, financial models, ROI analyses, and investment appraisals for organic growth, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence, valuation analysis, integration planning, synergy tracking, and post-acquisition performance reporting.
  • Identify, quantify, and monitor initiatives that improve gross margin, operating margin, profitability, and working capital performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize business processes, enhance system functionality, and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Lead or support strategic projects involving financial systems, ERP enhancements, sales operations, process automation, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, management reports, and executive-level data visualizations that provide actionable business insights.
  • Evaluate existing business practices and recommend scalable solutions that improve automation, reporting accuracy, controls, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, compliance, and consistency across financial and operational reporting processes.
  • Support change management, process standardization, and user adoption initiatives associated with system implementations and organizational transformation.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Business Analysis, Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, business performance analysis, and strategic decision-making.
  • Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, financial due diligence, investment analysis, and integration activities is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and key business performance metrics.
  • Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI is preferred.
  • Experience within retail, consumer products, apparel, licensing, wholesale distribution, or e-commerce environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered tools and automation technologies to enhance productivity, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable business insights.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor / Masters in Finance/Accounting (CFA, MBA, CPA a plus)


BUSINESS HOURS

  • Four (4) days in office and One (1) day remote. Occasional extended work hours depending on volume and collaboration with India office.
