Responsibilities

  • Provide BIM coordination and manage project data daily
  • Develop BIM Project Execution Plans with the BIM Manager
  • Lead project kickoff meetings to introduce BIM processes
  • Create training documentation specific to project BIM execution
  • Set up BIM projects using company templates alongside the BIM Manager
  • Manage discipline-specific BIM data for projects
  • Communicate changes in BIM execution plans to teams
  • Maintain and manage project content effectively
  • Mentor teams on 'Best Practice' workflows as needed
  • Enforce modeling best practices within BIM project teams
  • Contribute to the improvement of in-house BIM standards
  • Conduct quality control reviews of BIM models and compliance reports
  • Resolve Revit model warnings to minimize issues
  • Migrate Revit models to the latest version, ensuring integrity
  • Develop 'as-built' Revit models from legacy drawings
  • Export data for use by other disciplines or firms
  • Coordinate weekly information exchanges within the design team
  • Conduct Navisworks clash detection and model coordination
  • Participate in clash detection review meetings
  • Assist design efforts in a discipline-related capacity
  • Explore and test new BIM technologies and Revit add-ons
  • Develop project-specific 'Lessons Learned' for continuous improvement
  • Provide CAD support, including legacy CAD applications

Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data
  • Develop BIM Project Execution Plans with BIM Manager
  • Lead BIM project kickoff meetings to demonstrate BIM process to Design team
  • Prepare project specific training documentation on project BIM execution plans
  • Work with BIM Manager to setup BIM projects from company templates
  • Provide discipline specific technical management of project BIM data
  • Liaise with BIM Manger and Design team to ensure changes in BIM Project Execution Plans, company procedures and standards are effectively communicated to project teams
  • Create, manage and maintain project content for project teams
  • Provide one-to-one mentoring on 'Best Practice' workflows to project teams as required
  • Support BIM project teams while enforcing "modeling best practices"
  • Contributing to ongoing process improvement of in-house BIM Standards
  • Review BIM models for quality control -completion of Brph BIM Standard Compliance Reports
  • Review Revit "warnings" to help keep model problems to a minimum
  • Revit Model Migration - moving Revit models forward to newest version while verifying their integrity and completeness
  • Create "as-built "Revit models from 2d legacy/owner drawings to be used as reference information or starting points for project teams
  • Exporting Data for use by other disciplines and/or firms (AutoCAD backgrounds, Navisworks exports, etc...)
  • Coordinate weekly Information Exchange across Design Team
  • Navisworks Clash Detection/Model Coordination
  • Attend Clash Detection review meetings
  • To contribute or otherwise assist design as required in discipline capacity
  • Work with BIM Manager to Investigate and test new Revit add-ons and other BIM/IPD technologies
  • Develop project specific "Lessons Learned" to continually improve process
  • Project CAD Support (including the support of legacy CAD packages)


Required Qualities and Skills:
  • In-depth working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and BIM supporting applications
  • Experience of working in a project coordination role for CAD applications
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team

Education And/or Experience:
  • Minimum of Associates Degree, in Architecture, Engineering or Construction related field, from an accredited two-year college or university.
  • Must have minimum of 6 years related experience in areas listed under essential duties and responsibilities.


Physical Requirements:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of a construction job site safely.
