Overview

The Senior Billing Analyst is responsible for supporting client finance operations for a major automotive account by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting activities. This role serves as a key partner to Client Services, Sales, Marketing Operations, Corporate Accounting, and Client Finance teams, providing financial analysis, billing oversight, process improvement, and operational support.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client contracts and financial agreements to ensure billing accuracy and compliance before invoice generation.
  • Prepare, review, and quality-check high-volume, multi-line billing files and invoice requests.
  • Perform quality control reviews across client billing and revenue processes.
  • Coordinate supporting documentation and invoice requirements with Corporate Billing and Accounting teams.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, including credit and rebill requests.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze billing, revenue, and financial reports for management review.
  • Support month-end close activities, including revenue and cost recognition processes.
  • Partner with Client Services, Account Management, Sales, and Marketing Operations teams to address financial and accounting-related inquiries.
  • Manipulate, reconcile, and analyze large data sets to support reporting, forecasting, and operational decision making.
  • Produce client billing outputs and coordinate delivery and follow-up activities.
  • Troubleshoot billing and data issues with internal collaborators and external client partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall billing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to support financial operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reconciliations, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of billing processes, workflows, and procedures.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of billing, accounting, finance, or revenue management experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting client financial operations, budgeting, or revenue analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Compensation Range: USD $63,600.00 - USD $118,000.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
