A leading employee benefits consulting organization is seeking a Senior Benefits Consultant to serve as a strategic advisor to employer clients, helping them navigate complex benefits decisions, manage costs, and create competitive employee benefits programs. This role is ideal for an experienced consultant who enjoys partnering with executive leadership, developing innovative strategies, and delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Prior employee benefits consulting or brokerage experience is required.

The Job:
  • Lead benefit strategy, renewal planning, financial analysis, benchmarking, and overall service delivery for a portfolio of clients.
  • Develop creative solutions to address complex employee benefits challenges.
  • Guide clients through the renewal process, including strategy development, RFP execution, carrier negotiations, and post-renewal analysis.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams on benefits design, funding strategies, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with account management and client service teams to ensure exceptional client experiences.
  • Oversee client onboarding, implementation planning, and ongoing service initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendor partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through cross-selling and additional consulting services.
  • Advise clients on compliance matters including healthcare reform, ERISA, HIPAA, and other employee benefits regulations.

What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years of employee benefits consulting or brokerage experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and ancillary benefit programs.
  • Experience developing renewal strategies, financial analyses, benchmarking studies, and carrier marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with executive-level decision makers.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare reform, ERISA, HIPAA, and related employee benefits regulations.
  • Valid Life & Health License required.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, project management, and client relationship skills.
  • Self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, consultative environment.
