The Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst will serve as the leader in the retirement area when developing efficient processes in the HCMS system.

Summary
The Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst serves as the main contact with HRIS in the design, development, and administration of the retirement benefit programs in the HCMS system for the enterprise. The Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst should possess a clear understanding of the HCMS benefits module to assist the retirement benefits team in troubleshooting issues. The Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst will serve as the leader in the retirement area when developing efficient processes in the HCMS system.

Job Duties

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in both the retirement area and the HCMS systems as a point of contract for escalated colleagues retirement benefits program inquiries to resolve through investigation and coordination with internal and external partner. Assist the retirement benefits analysts in researching and troubleshooting retirement plan issues and work with HRIS to resolve the issues. The Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst will work with HRIS to identify the root cause of the issues identified to resolve by updating the HCMS benefits module or HCMS processes.
  • Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst will serve as the liaison between HRIS, IT and the retirement team when researching issues in the retirement benefits. They will work with HRIS in creating processes to create audit reports to improve the efficiency of processing retirement benefits. Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst will educate the retirement team in the HCMS benefit module. Create and review bi-weekly payroll files, quarterly files, annual compliance files including NDT files to ensure accurate and compliant processing including funding reconciliation and timely funding to ensure the timely and accurate processing of retirement benefits transactions in accordance with best practices and applicable legal requirements.
  • Work with HRIS and IT to update the benefits module due to programming changes, plan changes or regulatory mandates; including the testing of the changes and how these changes will impact the retirement plan integrations to accurately reflect the changes. Senior Retirement Analyst will collaborate with the retirement plan vendors to ensure compliance and efficient administration.
  • Analyzes data sources to provide evidence-based recommendations about process improvement within the retirement domain; and create standard operating procedures of how the HCMS benefit module relates to the retirement plans. Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst will educate the retirement team in the standard operating procedures for the HCMS benefits module.
  • Leverages organizational knowledge and insights to enhance retirement benefits program effectiveness; contributes to knowledge sharing initiatives within the Retirement Team; and documents processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure continuity and consistency.
  • Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for process improvements and program enhancements; proactively adopts and leverages technology tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. Works with the retirement to explain the changes to the HCMS benefits module and retirement plan integrations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years in Benefits Administration and HCMS administration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including ability to work with formulas and pivot tables
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience working with an Enterprise Human Capital Management System
  • Skilled in process management
  • Ability to listen actively, communicate clearly and empathetically, take responsibility, adapt, and exercise self-control under pressure.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business or related field
  • 5 years in Human Resources Operations
  • Working knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, Social Security, and DOL requirements.
  • Experience working with outsourced benefits administration vendors
  • PHR - Professional in Human Resources - HR Certification Institute or
  • CP - Certified Professional - Society for Human Resource Management or
  • CCP - Certified Compensation Professional - WorldatWork or
  • CEBS - Certified Employee Benefits Specialist - International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans

    Physical Demands
