Senior Bathymetric LiDAR Specialist

Folsom, CA | Full-Time | Occasional Travel
Salary: $120,000-$165,000 DOE + Annual Bonus


As a Senior Bathymetric LiDAR Specialist, you'll help lead our most advanced data acquisition and reality capture projects while contributing to the continued growth of our surveying practice.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead bathymetric, hydrographic, and mobile LiDAR projects from planning through final deliverables
  • Oversee mission planning, field operations, data acquisition, processing, and quality assurance
  • Develop and refine workflows for bathymetric, mobile, UAV, and terrestrial LiDAR technologies
  • Integrate bathymetric and topographic datasets into engineering and surveying workflows
  • Collaborate with survey, engineering, GIS, and remote sensing teams on multidisciplinary projects
  • Mentor technical staff and support the continued development of advanced surveying capabilities
  • Assist with client relationships, proposals, presentations, and business development initiatives
  • Help expand R.E.Y.'s advanced mapping and bathymetric service offerings throughout California
What We're Looking For

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Survey Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years of experience in land surveying, geomatics, hydrography, or related disciplines
  • Experience leading survey projects and managing project deliverables
  • Strong understanding of LiDAR technologies, including mobile, UAV, and terrestrial systems
  • Working knowledge of GNSS positioning technologies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred
  • Certified Hydrographer (CH)
  • Experience with bathymetric survey planning and hydrographic data collection
  • Familiarity with TopoDOT, Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, MicroStation, RIEGL RiPROCESS, HYPACK, Applanix POSPac, LadybugCapPro, or similar software
  • Experience integrating bathymetric and topographic datasets for engineering applications
  • Interest in business development and expanding technical service offerings
  • Passion for mentoring team members and advancing emerging survey technologies
