  • Review and approve compliance documentation, including System Safety Assessments (SSA, FHA, PSSA), Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), environmental qualification (DO-160), and EMI/EMC and RF considerations
  • Provide technical oversight of avionics integration into aircraft platforms

Regulatory Engagement

  • Act as a primary technical interface with Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) and support engagement with foreign authorities
  • Lead technical discussions, certification reviews, and approval activities related to avionics systems
  • Support or exercise delegation (if applicable) for avionics certification approvals

Program Execution & Flight Test Support

  • Support and lead aircraft surveys, installations, and avionics integration activities
  • Provide guidance during ground and flight test campaigns, including certification test witnessing
  • Ensure avionics systems meet performance, safety, and certification objectives throughout execution

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in avionics certification and integration
  • Mentor engineers on avionics certification processes, STC development lifecycle, and installation and integration best practices
  • Provide leadership across engineering, programs, and certification teams to resolve complex technical challenges

DAO Governance & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support DAO activities, including Airworthiness Control Committee (ACC) participation, internal and external audits, and continuous improvement of certification processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams, installers, vendors, and operators to ensure alignment on avionics integration and certification deliverables
