Job Description

ISG is seeking a Senior Associate/Vice President to join the Credit Portfolio Solutions team in an investment role with significant responsibility across portfolio construction, investment strategy coverage and diligence, portfolio management, and client engagement. Portfolio Solutions is a high-performing, collaborative team of investment professionals with expertise across asset classes, structures, and client types. This role will involve ongoing engagement with both Brookfield's credit investment platforms and client teams to effectively source opportunities, structure client solutions and manage portfolios.

Responsibilities:
  • Design customized investment solutions for institutional, private wealth, and family capital clients by leveraging Brookfield's full credit investment capabilities across infrastructure, corporates, real estate, and asset-based finance, and the full toolkit of access points, including primary funds, secondaries, co-investments, and direct investments.
  • Source and maintain a pipeline of investment opportunities across the Brookfield ecosystem, including Brookfield's direct investment platforms and the strategies of its partner manager firms.
  • Evaluate proposed mandate constructions against client objectives and constraints, including yield, total return, structuring, tax, regulatory, asset-liability matching, and liquidity considerations, and analyze their performance under varying scenarios and economic outcomes.
  • Draft and present investment recommendations and new client mandate proposals to the ISG Investment Committee.
  • Provide ongoing portfolio management for separately managed accounts and other ISG vehicles, including deployment, performance monitoring, liquidity management, rebalancing, risk monitoring, and client reporting.
  • Conduct performance attribution and review ongoing analytics on existing mandates to inform portfolio decisions and support quarterly ISG Portfolio and Risk Review meetings.
  • Work with various Brookfield investment teams to stay current on market trends, translating market intelligence into actionable views on relative value and deployment opportunities for portfolio construction, client portfolios, and the Investment Committee.
  • Partner with Fundraise Management on new ISG proposals, support Investor Relations and Diligence Management in responding to inquiries from existing investors and prospects, and collaborate with ISG Investment Specialists to serve as a centralized point of contact for all inquiries regarding existing ISG mandates.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, or another relevant discipline. MBA, CFA, or other relevant advanced credentials are a plus but not required.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, fund-of-funds, investment consulting, or investment solutions roles at a major alternative asset manager.
  • Demonstrated excellence in Excel-based financial modeling, including complex multi-period cash flow models, capital structure waterfalls, and portfolio-level analytics.
  • Understanding of private credit asset classes (e.g. infrastructure, corporates, real estate, and asset-based finance) and familiarity with the investment vehicles used to access them (commingled funds, separately managed accounts, co-investments, securitizations).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical work into clear narratives for senior internal and external audiences. Experience preparing Investment Committee memos, client-facing presentations, and investment marketing materials.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously, prioritizing effectively in a lean team environment, and moving fluidly between deep technical work and external-facing communication.
  • A team approach and a "can do" attitude. Self-directed and accountable, with strong attention to detail and the judgment to know when work is ready for senior review and when to escalate.
