Job Description:

This position is responsible for development of a master production schedule through compiling, balancing, and maintaining project-based schedule bases which support individual project life cycle.

Essential Functions:
• Ability to travel occasionally
• Ability to work extended hours as required
• Use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to schedule project-based demand, balancing schedule needs with existing demands and shop floor capacity.
• Manage demand against constrained work centers and provide demand forecast reports to management. Make recommendations for rough cut capacity planning based on current and forecast demands.
• Maintain inputs for active schedule management and balance ongoing project mitigations with the overall production schedule. Includes inputs associated with dates, quantities, configuration, job order creation, and changes to existing job orders.
• Maintain interface between MRP system and the Product Scheduling/Status system. Ensure material demands support program schedules while balancing production with available capacity. Process Work Authorization (WA) and Program Directive (PD) documents ensuring adherence to scheduling system, project grouping strategy, configuration control and approval guidelines.
• Manage impact and implement changes from Engineering Change Notices (ECN)
• Manage inventory and open orders for all assemblies related to assigned projects including project transfer request approvals, transfer-payback activity, excess/inactive/obsolete inventory reconciliation and open job order maintenance.
• Provide ongoing management of special MRP demand inputs including, Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs), Final Acceptance Orders (FAOs), and Blocking Jobs to ensure time-phased requirements meet program needs while mitigating excess demands.
• Schedule compression and critical path mitigation
• Identify and analyze MRP exceptions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
