About this roleWe are looking for a Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney with 8+ years of experience to step into a leadership role within a growing practice group at a well-established Silicon Valley law firm. You'll be the next generation of leadership for a team that needs a strong litigator who can drive case strategy, mentor junior attorneys, and help build out the practice.
What will you be doing?- Leading complex trust and estate litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Taking over trust litigation work from the current group leader (who prefers to focus on probate and Supreme Court matters)
- Cultivating client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor
- Supervising and mentoring associates as the team grows
- Helping shape the direction and culture of the Trust & Estate Litigation Group
Key Requirements- 8+ years of dedicated trust and estate litigation experience (no crossover candidates)
- Active membership in the State Bar of California in good standing
- Leadership skills and readiness to be the "next gen" leader of the practice group
- Active in the trust & estate litigation community in the Bay Area
- Willingness to work from the San Mateo office (preferred), Pleasanton, or San Jose
Role responsibilities• Drive case strategy and lead high-stakes, complex trust and estate litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Cultivate and deepen client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key clients.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the Trust & Estate Litigation practice.
• Supervise and manage associates on active matters, including delegation and oversight of case work.
• Provide hands-on mentoring, training, feedback, and performance guidance to develop associates' litigation skills.
• Help shape the direction and culture of the Trust & Estate Litigation Group.
• Represent senior citizens and their families in financial elder abuse litigation.
• Represent trustees, executors, administrators, and beneficiaries in trust and probate litigation.
