About the RoleWe are hiring a few Senior Associates on our Canada New Verticals Strategy & Operations. One role will focus on improving how we partner with our Dashers and driving efficiencies to how they operate. The second role will focus on driving quality improvements to our platform that enhances the shopping experience resulting in higher consumer spend. Both roles will require you to understand marketplace data and constraints to strategize actionable plans to improve efficiency levers impacting things like in-store navigation, in-app experience, dasher pay, pricing & promotions and so much more! These roles require you to understand our three-sided marketplace and the unit economics that impact our financial success all while balancing growth, cost and quality. You'll need to weigh both sides of that tradeoff in every lever you pull.
These roles sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product. The best operators today are rapidly generating new ideas, taking ownership over metrics and moving them in the right direction through building product visions, synthesizing complex analyses and testing every idea - all while leveraging AI to uplevel how we operate. We expect this person to stay at the forefront of how AI is reshaping the work, actively exploring new tools, automating repetitive workflows, and finding ways to do in hours what used to take weeks.
You will report into a Manager on our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team and be an individual contributor position. We operate in a hybrid model and spend a few days a month in person together. We have two positions so throughout the interview process, we will consider you for two roles and align on role fit throughout the interview process!
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...- Strategize. From first principles, you'll develop the optimal strategy for best serving all sides of the marketplace - dashers, merchants and consumers.
- Operate. Own tracking dashboards and manage week over week metrics to drive high quality operations.
- Experiment. Design, launch, and share out operational experiments and product features that impact things like dynamic delivery windows, order batching, predictive ordering, in-app merchandising, etc.
- Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate the economic, operational and strategic costs and benefits of various programs and experiments - and increasingly, use AI to accelerate and deepen that analysis.
- Build with AI. You'll use AI tools to automate manual processes, build new prototypes and develop product visions. You'll be expected to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI in your day-to-day work, and share what you learn with the team.
- Lead, collaborate and Influence. You'll partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, finance, product, analytics and engineering to launch initiatives to the finish line.
- Own. You will manage core metrics across Dashers or Consumers and be the DRI for the success of metrics ranging from acceptance rates, batch rates, subtotals, basket size and so many others!
- Partner. Work with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and our US Logistics counterparts to share learnings and scale what works.
We're excited about you because...- You solve problems from first principles. You resist "this is how it's always been done" thinking.
- You're entrepreneurial. You have a bias for action and are able to build things from the ground up.
- You are an operator. You solve problems by actually understanding the problem.
- You like data, and you let it win arguments. You're comfortable building complex SQL queries across multiple data sources and have experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools.
- You're energized by AI tools - and you actively experiment with them. You don't wait to be told how to use a new tool; you're already exploring tools like Claude, Cursor, Gemini and more. You bring a builder's mindset to AI: using it to automate the repetitive, accelerate the analytical, and unlock work that would otherwise require a larger team. You're comfortable with a role whose scope will continue to shift as AI becomes more capable, and you see that as an opportunity rather than a threat.
- You're unafraid of uncharted territory. This role is still taking shape, and you're excited to help define it rather than inherit a fixed playbook.
- You have 2-4+ years of experience. You've succeeded in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups or a related experience).
- You have a completed Bachelor's Degree.
