Job Summary

The Senior Associate - Financial Applications Analyst serves as a key resource supporting financial systems, business processes, and data analysis activities across the organization. This role provides functional support for financial applications, assists in system implementations and enhancements, and analyzes financial and operational data to improve business processes and decision-making. Working under general supervision, the Senior Associate collaborates with finance, technology, and business teams to maintain system effectiveness, resolve application issues, and support process improvement initiatives. This role leverages technical and business knowledge to ensure data integrity, support financial reporting processes, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and system enhancements. This role acts as a liaison between users and technology teams, helping translate business requirements into functional solutions that support organizational objectives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide functional support for financial applications, troubleshoot system issues, assist users with application functionality, and support system maintenance, testing, upgrades, and documentation to ensure reliable business operations. - (35%)
  • Analyze financial and operational processes, identify opportunities for efficiency and accuracy improvements, document business requirements and workflows, and support initiatives designed to enhance processes and system capabilities. - (25%)
  • Develop and maintain reports, perform data analysis and validation, support automation opportunities, and help improve reporting accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency for business stakeholders. - (20%)
  • Collaborate with finance, technology, and business teams to gather requirements, support system enhancements, participate in testing activities, and assist with implementation efforts for financial application projects. - (10%)
  • Assist with financial modeling, forecasting, and operational analysis by compiling and analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing insights that support business planning and decision-making. - (10%)

Minimum Qualifications- Senior Associate A

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Systems related field or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting financial systems, business applications, finance operations, or related analytical functions.
  • Experience working with financial applications, ERP systems, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, reporting, or system enhancement initiatives preferred.

Minimum Qualifications- Senior Associate B

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Systems related field or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting financial systems, business applications, finance operations, or related analytical functions.
  • Experience working with financial applications, ERP systems, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, reporting, or system enhancement initiatives preferred.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and programming languages such as SQL or Python.
  • Basic proficiency in MicroStrategy, Alteryx, Dataiku, or Power BI
  • Experience with Oracle EPM Data Management

Work Environment

  • Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$71,500.00 - $114,400.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $82,200.00 - $143,000.00 Colorado: $71,500.00 - $125,800.00 New York: $78,700.00 - $143,000.00 Washington: $78,700.00 - $131,600.00 Maryland: $78,700.00 - $125,800.00 Washington DC: $82,200.00 - $131,600.00 Illinois: $71,500.00 - $125,800.00 New Jersey: $82,200.00 - $131,600.00 Vermont: $71,500.00 - $114,400.00 Ohio: $71,500.00 - $114,400.00 Maine: $71,500.00 - $114,400.00 Connecticut: $78,700.00 - $125,800.00 Virginia: $71,500.00 - $114,400.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.


You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26.  New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period).  Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period.   Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
