Job Description:

In this position as a Federal Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in assessing the financial viability and creditworthiness of applicants seeking federal credit assistance. In this position, you will also:
  • Evaluate the economic soundness of projects and the creditworthiness of applicants.
  • Analyze the historic financial performance of borrowers.
  • Perform detailed financial calculations and establish ratios related to the overall financial structure of the transaction, prior financial experience, and industry benchmarks.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of borrower management teams.
  • Review and evaluate feasibility studies for proposed projects.
  • Assess proposed markets, including market studies/surveys, borrower relationships with major customers, and projected demand.
  • Review and evaluate ownership structures of transactions.
  • Prepare amortization schedules for proposed credit facilities.
  • Prepare and present written and oral reports to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in financial modeling and credit risk analysis.
  • 3 years of experience working with historical financial analysis, cash flow analysis, market analysis, and financial viability testing of project assumptions.
  • 3 years of experience building and interpreting complex financial models and ratios to support credit decisions.

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating federal or large-scale commercial credit programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial findings to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to conduct market assessments and compare financial assumptions against industry benchmarks.
  • CFA, CPA, FRM, or other relevant financial certification.

Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
