About the RoleAs a
Senior Associate - Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting large-scale Banking and Financial Services transformation initiatives. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, support reporting initiatives, and drive successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in business analysis, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and banking operations, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
You will be a valued member of Cognizant's Banking & Financial Services Consulting team, collaborating with client stakeholders, business leaders, and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
In This Role, You Will- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
- Conduct current-state assessments and support future-state process design.
- Analyze data and reporting outputs to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support reporting and business intelligence initiatives through data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Create business requirements documents, user stories, process flows, and other project documentation.
- Support testing activities, including test case creation, UAT coordination, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
- Assist with implementation, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
- Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
- Support process improvement initiatives and recommend operational efficiencies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and project status meetings.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), business process documentation, and stakeholder communications.

What You Must Have to Be Considered- 2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or related role.
- Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Finance, Risk, Operations, or related domains.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience working with data, reports, and business insights to support decision-making.
- Understanding of system implementation lifecycles and change management processes.
- Experience supporting testing activities, UAT coordination, and defect management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
These Will Help You Succeed- Experience supporting banking transformation, modernization, or regulatory initiatives.
- Familiarity with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of finance, risk, compliance, operations, or regulatory reporting processes.
- Experience working in Agile project environments.
- Exposure to data governance, data quality, or reporting processes.
- Experience creating process maps, workflows, and business documentation.
