Full Job Description
Your Role
As a Senior Architectural Designer in our Forensics Practice, you'll handle complex evaluations of building envelopes and architectural systems, diagnosing failure mechanisms, analyzing performance issues, and helping craft remediation strategies rooted in clear investigative insight. You'll play a key role in investigations of varying scopes, applying sound architectural judgment while supporting litigation and insurance clients. You'll mentor junior staff, collaborate closely with engineers and project partners, and continue developing your technical and client-facing capabilities within the forensic environment.

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of forensic evaluations, applying advanced architectural and diagnostic principles to non-routine building envelopes or system issues.
  • Develop and review technical reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance and day-to-day support for interns and entry-level architects, helping them learn best practices and navigate project tasks.
  • Expand your project exposure by observing client interactions, gaining insight into scopes, services, and fee structures, and building a strong professional network within TT and across the industry.


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in architecture or forensic investigations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt approaches for unique challenges involving building envelope performance, water intrusion, materials degradation, or architectural system failures.
  • Proven communication skills, reliability, and leadership behaviors including authenticity, trust-building, and effective communication within your sphere of influence.
  • Initiative to mentor junior staff, manage your workload proactively, and continue deepening your expertise in both technical and project delivery fundamentals.


Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $87,000 - $100,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
