Full Job Description
Passero Associates' Dayton, Ohio office is seeking a talented Senior Architect to join our collaborative, growing team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of municipal, aviation, and restoration projects. Our work tackles challenging design problems and delivers innovative solutions that enhance communities and critical infrastructure.

This position is ideal for a motivated architect who combines strong technical expertise with client-focused leadership and an interest in business development and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all phases of architectural projects, from concept through construction
  • Drive project development, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and consultant coordination
  • Lead and participate in client, stakeholder, and agency meetings, particularly for aviation and public-sector projects
  • Prepare and guide conceptual, schematic, and design development solutions, including renovations and restoration efforts
  • Support and oversee design and production teams, including mentoring junior staff and intern architects
  • Perform construction administration services, including shop drawing review, RFIs, site visits, and punch lists
  • Execute final preparation and quality control of all design documents (drawings, reports, and specifications)
  • Apply deep knowledge of building codes, aviation regulations, and restoration standards to ensure compliance
  • Contribute to business development efforts, such as proposal development, qualifications packages, interviews, and client relationship building
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify new opportunities within aviation, municipal, and restoration markets

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (Master's preferred)
  • Licensed Architect (RA) or actively pursuing licensure
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience with an A/E consulting or construction-related firm
  • Demonstrated experience with aviation facilities, such as terminals, hangars, support buildings, or airside/landside infrastructure (preferred)
  • Experience with restoration, renovation, or historic preservation projects is highly desirable
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and construction administration practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and architectural production workflows
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, public speaking, and client presentations
  • Interest and experience in mentoring and developing junior staff
  • High attention to detail with experience in quality control and assurance oversight
  • Collaborative team player who positively contributes to office culture and firm growth
