Job Requirements:

As a Senior Applied Machine Learning Scientist, you will lead a high-performing team of AI/ML professionals and provide technical leadership across the AI function. You will be responsible for:

• Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of applied machine learning scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Leading the conceptualization, design, and delivery of AI/ML systems to solve complex business and enterprise-wide problems.
• Providing thought leadership and developing innovative methodologies and techniques in AI/ML.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Machine Learning Engineers and research scientists, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build and implement cutting-edge analytic solutions.
• Translating business objectives into scalable technical solutions and delivering enterprise-level insights.
• Acting as a business partner to guide and prioritize strategic initiatives and analytical needs.
• Driving continuous improvement through monitoring systems, feedback loops, and trend analysis.
• Ensuring compliance with internal and external governance, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Championing a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous learning within the team.

As the Senior AMLS, Predictive AI, Canadian Personal Banking AI2, you will specifically manage a team developing predictive AI for Regression, Classification and Anomaly Detection use cases. You and your team will also collaborate with Layer 6 to develop and evolve the suite of TD AI Prism foundational model.

Models in scope cover the whole range of CPB verticals: RESL, Distribution, Credit Cards and Personal Lending, as well as Checking Savings and Investing.

Qualification:

• Undergraduate degree required; advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science).
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, including post-graduate work in AI/ML or related fields.
• Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, with a focus on mentorship and performance development.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
• Strong strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Extensive understanding of business operations and enterprise-level analytics.
• Experience working with large-scale data systems and advanced machine learning techniques.

Demonstrated ability to provide specialized knowledge and guidance across multiple domains of AI.

En tant que Senior AMLS, IA Prédictive, Canadian Personal Banking AI2, vous gérerez spécifiquement une équipe développant l'IA prédictive pour les cas d'utilisation de la régression, de la classification et de la détection d'anomalies. Vous et votre équipe collaborerez également avec Layer 6 pour développer et faire évoluer la suite de modèles fondamentaux TD AI Prism.

Les modèles concernés couvrent l'ensemble des secteurs de CPB : RESL, Distribution, Cartes de crédit et Prêts personnels, ainsi que Compte courant, Épargne et Investissement.

Qualification :

• Diplôme de premier cycle requis ; diplôme technique avancé préféré (par exemple, mathématiques, physique, ingénierie, finance, informatique).
• Minimum 5+ ans d'expérience pertinente, incluant des études post-universitaires en IA/ML ou dans des domaines connexes.
• Expérience avérée dans la direction et la gestion d'équipes techniques, avec un accent particulier sur le mentorat et le développement de la performance.
• Expertise approfondie des cadres, outils et méthodologies IA/ML.
• Solides compétences en planification stratégique, communication et engagement des parties prenantes.
• Une connaissance approfondie des opérations commerciales et de l'analyse au niveau de l'entreprise.
• Expérience de travail avec des systèmes de données à grande échelle et des techniques avancées d'apprentissage automatique.

Capacité démontrée à fournir des connaissances spécialisées et des conseils dans de multiples domaines de l'IA.
