Job Summary

The Senior Application Architect will lead the architectural design and implementation of a casino management system (CMS) from inception through launch. The role focuses on creating scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, establishing architectural standards, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring solutions meet applicable regulatory requirements while supporting effective user experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Define and drive the architectural vision for the casino management system (CMS), ensuring alignment with business goals and applicable industry regulations.
• Develop architectural blueprints outlining system components, modules, and data flows from initial concept through deployment, with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle for the CMS, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including gaming operations, compliance, Enterprise Architecture, UX/UI design, and DevOps.
• Design multi-tiered applications using microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native principles tailored to casino operations.
• Ensure applications follow security best practices and applicable data protection and privacy standards.
• Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and tools that improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Integrate third-party gaming systems, payment gateways, and APIs to support casino operations.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including automated testing, to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks and optimize systems for high transaction volumes and real-time data processing.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, engineering best practices, and architectural guidelines.
• Conduct code reviews and technical audits to ensure compliance with architectural standards and applicable requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with application frameworks such as Spring, .NET, or Node.js.
• Extensive knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including database design and performance tuning.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and services supporting application development and deployment.
• Familiarity with application security principles and compliance standards relevant to the gaming industry, including PCI-DSS and GDPR.
• Strong understanding of Agile development practices and DevOps principles.
