Position OverviewInfo Gain Consulting (IGC) is seeking a Senior Ansible Automation Engineer with hands-on experience supporting automated software deployment and Continuous Delivery within large enterprise environments. The successful candidate will use Ansible and other DevOps/CI/CD technologies to support automated package preparation, validation, tracking, deployment, and delivery.
Responsibilities- Support request-for-deployment and delivery tools used with enterprise server environments.
- Use automation tools to validate IT packages prior to delivery.
- Use Ansible Playbooks and related tools to prepare IT packages for automated deployment.
- Support automated tools used to track the status of IT packages throughout the deployment process.
- Support tools used to manage delivery of IT packages to enterprise server environments.
- Implement DevOps Continuous Delivery tools within large organizations.
- Use and implement DevOps/CI/CD tools across source-code management, repositories, deployment, orchestration, and related pipeline functions.
- Assess existing Continuous Delivery tool pipelines and document advantages, limitations, and areas for improvement.
- Develop written recommendations for improving Continuous Delivery tool pipelines.
Required Qualifications- Demonstrated experience with Ansible and Ansible Playbooks.
- Experience with enterprise request-for-deployment or delivery tools.
- Experience with tools used for automated validation of IT packages.
- Experience preparing IT packages for automated deployment.
- Experience with automated deployment-tracking tools.
- Experience with tools used to manage delivery of IT packages to enterprise server environments.
- Experience implementing DevOps Continuous Delivery tools in large organizations, including organizations with more than 1,000 employees.
- Experience using and implementing DevOps/CI/CD technologies across major sections of the Continuous Delivery pipeline.
- Experience working with hardware systems using Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.
- Expertise with DevOps tools, Rational tools, release and deployment orchestration tools, Git-based source-code management tools, repository tools, cyber scanning tools, staging tools, and quality assurance tools.
Preferred Qualifications- Approximately 4 or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience with deployment/delivery tools such as Nexus and Ansible.
- Experience with automated validation tools such as RTC and Nexus.
- Experience with automated deployment-tracking and delivery tools such as GitHub Actions.
