Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our Analytical Sciences team, supporting our Manufacturing, Process Sciences (PS), and Quality Control (QC) functions in an on-site, laboratory-based role. In this role, you will advance QC capabilities by developing robust, phase-appropriate, and lifecycle-managed analytical methods for novel modalities - including iSRNA/siRNA oligonucleotides and peptide therapeutics - while collaborating with Manufacturing, Process Sciences, Quality Control, and cross-functional CMC teams.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st shift

Travel: Occasional travel to support method transfer, vendor engagements, and program meetings

  • Develop and optimize analytical methods for product and raw materials, with a focus on iSRNA/siRNA and peptide modalities.
  • Design and review qualification and validation protocols so methods are stability-indicating and suitable for GMP release.
  • Evaluate and implement new instrumentation and technologies in partnership with collaborators and vendors.
  • Transfer control test procedures to QC, including training materials and acceptance criteria.
  • Troubleshoot method, process, and formulation issues, providing analytical support across functions.
  • Lead OOS/OOT investigations and customer complaint assessments, driving data-driven root-cause conclusions.
  • Communicate findings, risk, and mitigation strategies through technical reports and cross-functional meetings.
  • Mentor junior scientists and manage the full analytical method lifecycle, from development through retirement.

This Role Requires

  • BS/BA in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field, with 6+ years of relevant industry experience in analytical development and QC method lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and validating analytical methods for iSRNA/siRNA oligonucleotides and peptide therapeutics.
  • Hands-on proficiency with LC-MS/MS, CE, ion-pair RP-HPLC, peptide mapping, and oligonucleotide characterization assays.
  • Proven track record of method transfer to QC, troubleshooting, and OOS/OOT investigations.
  • Strong technical writing, data integrity practices, and presentation skills, with the ability to mentor and lead.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience with hybridization-based assays and peptide mapping techniques.
  • Experience applying DOE and statistical trending methodologies.
  • Level for this position will be determined based on candidate qualifications.

Salary Range (annually)
$78,700.00 - $128,700.00
