Full Job Description
National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, Technology Operations and Service. This hybrid role sits in our Melville, NY location.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, business analytics, with basic, or more, understanding in AI and machine learning projects. This role involves leading AI initiatives, developing and maintaining automations, agents and dashboards. As well as collaborating with stakeholders to enhance user experience with a strong focus on compliance to regulatory rules for the Gas Business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead research and development for AI projects, focused on pipeline safety and compliance.
  • Evaluate and test Copilot, Azure Services, and other AI tools to identify opportunities for automation and cost reduction.
  • Contribute to project planning, documentation, and Agile delivery processes to ensure timely execution.
  • Utilize Microsoft Power Platform tools including CoPilot Studio, Power Automate, PowerBI, and Power Apps.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics, data science, and the tools used to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Develop and validate proof-of-concept solutions using AI technologies to improve safety and operational efficiency.
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and metrics for senior management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and enhance the user experience and functionality of Power Apps and Agent-based solutions.
  • Deliver training and provide support to team members on Power Platform tools and digital solutions.
  • Develop and present digital products through the Microsoft Power Platform that deliver metrics, KPIs, reduce fines and incidents, and increase safety, while proving the value add to senior management.
  • Maintain and continuously improve solutions by monitoring performance, user adoption, and implementing enhancements to strengthen compliance and reduce risk.
  • Integrate AI into digital products and company workflows to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Build and maintain databases, automation workflows, SharePoint websites, and applications that deliver key business information.
  • Support AI governance, risk management, and compliance practices to ensure ethical and responsible use of AI solutions.

Salary

$122,000 - $143,000 a year
