Job Title: Senior Analyst - Tax

Reports in office to either Orange, CT or Boston, MA

Salary is commensurate with experience and location

Job Summary

This role administers indirect tax planning and compliance activities within the Corporate Tax Department. Responsibilities include preparing and supporting sales, use, and gross receipts tax filings across multiple jurisdictions, providing tax accounting support, and monitoring compliance requirements. The position evaluates tax risks, supports development projects through tax research and forecasting, and contributes to process improvements that enhance tax operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile, analyze, and prepare sales, use, and gross receipts tax returns for multiple companies and jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate tax registrations for companies operating across various jurisdictions.
  • Identify business practices and processes that create tax risk and support development of mitigation solutions.
  • Recommend improvements that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of tax operations.
  • Provide guidance on tax accounting matters, including budgets, accruals, and applicable GAAP/IFRS requirements.
  • Support Government Relations activities related to legislative tax incentives.
  • Research tax laws and regulations to develop accurate tax models and forecasts for development projects.
  • Assist project teams with tax incentive evaluations and negotiations when needed.
  • Apply established practices for tax reporting and tax return preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirements related to tax processes.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or tax accounting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and interpret tax-related issues and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a complex, rapidly changing environment with tight schedules.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tax concepts.
  • Detail-oriented approach and ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
  • Commitment to ongoing development of technical tax knowledge and job-related skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience preparing U.S. multistate indirect tax returns.
  • Knowledge of SAP financial accounting systems.
  • Experience implementing or using Thomson Reuters OneSource tax software.
  • Experience analyzing data, defining problems, and drawing supported conclusions.
  • Organization, project management, and team collaboration experience.
