Process, Performance and Governance team under the
AVP (Strategy, Enterprise and Commercial) is currently seeking a Full-time Regular
Senior Analyst, Supply Chain.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Process, Performance and Governance, the Supply Chain Analyst supports the Process, Performance and Governance team by contributing to the enhancement of procurement processes, performance measurement, and data-driven decision-making across the institution. The role applies analytical and problem-solving skills to support sourcing and operational activities, develop and maintain performance insights, and improve process consistency and efficiency. Working closely with procurement teams and internal stakeholders, the supply chain Analyst helps ensure procurement activities are effective, compliant, and aligned with institutional priorities while contributing to a more standardized, transparent, and performance-focused supply chain function.
This role will support the effective operation and continuous enhancement of the University's procurement function by enabling consistent processes, reliable performance insights, and informed decision-making. The role contributes to a more coordinated and transparent supply chain environment by strengthening the use of data, supporting process alignment, and enhancing visibility into procurement activities, ultimately helping the organization operate more efficiently and deliver consistent, compliant outcomes.
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):
- Collect, cleanse, classify, and maintain procurement data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to support performance monitoring and decision-making
- Analyze procurement and operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Translate data into clear insights and recommendations for procurement teams and stakeholders
- Document and maintain procurement processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures
- Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives using structured approaches (e.g., process mapping, Lean principles)
- Assist in implementing process changes and new tools, ensuring alignment with team practices and requirements
- Work closely with procurement teams and stakeholders to understand reporting and process needs
- Provide day-to-day analytical and process support to enable effective procurement operations
Qualifications / Requirements:- University degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related discipline is required
- A professional designation (e.g., SCMP) or relevant postgraduate education is considered an asset
- An equivalent combination of education and experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related analytical or operational role may be considered
- Minimum (2) years of experience in procurement, supply chain, data analysis, process improvement, procurement systems or a related function within a complex organization
- Demonstrated experience working with data, including classification, cleansing, and structuring data to support reporting and analysis
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, or visualizations using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms is required
- Experience working with ERP, eProcurement, or other enterprise systems to extract and analyze data is required
- Exposure to process design, documentation, or continuous improvement initiatives is required
- Familiarity with structured improvement or change management methodologies (e.g., Lean, process mapping, change frameworks) is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations is required
- Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to support process adoption, reporting needs, or change initiatives is required
- Experience working in a diverse and inclusive environment is required
- Experience within a public sector or broader public sector environment (e.g., post-secondary, healthcare, government) is considered an asset
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret, structure, and validate data to support reporting and decision-making
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or similar), with the ability to present insights clearly and effectively
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate data and process concepts into clear, actionable information for stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, supporting cross-functional initiatives and change efforts
- Foundational understanding of process design and continuous improvement principles, with the ability to document and support process enhancements
- Systems literacy, including experience working with ERP, eProcurement, or reporting systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel (data manipulation), PowerPoint, and SharePoint/Teams
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment; ability to work effectively in a collaborative, service-oriented team environment.
