Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical professional with strong Data problem solving using technical tools and building models, to join our team as a Senior Analyst. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, forecasting supply and demand, and preparing, maintaining, and distributing daily commodity marketing pricing reports. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to play a pivotal role in our NGL marketing operations. What you'll do: • Analyze business flows and processes to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, specifically for the propane and butane space. • Develop accurate supply and demand models to support business viability and operational decision-making. • Collaborate with the commercial team to understand pricing and optimize NGL price offer capabilities. • Monitor and analyze competitors' pricing and sales activities, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify potential impacts on our business. • Build and maintain comprehensive reports using advanced data management tools and techniques for use in presentations and recommendations for senior management, highlighting key findings and actionable insights. • Analyze business processes with cross-functional teams, including accounting, sales, supply, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and efficient operations. What you bring: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree is preferred. • 3 - 5 years of experience in the energy industry, with a strong focus data builds, data management, and Midstream Analytics. • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and forecasting techniques. • Strong understanding of NGL markets, pricing mechanisms, and industry dynamics. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. • Hands-on experience building complex models from multiple sources and databases, particularly Excel Power Query, Power BI, and experience with SQL, Azure, Databricks, Python, • Experience with RightAngle, or other ETRM systems preferred. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges. • Familiarity with supply chain optimization and logistics management would be considered an asset. Salary: $82,300 - $102,800 annually, based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography.
