What does the team work on?

The Revenue Analytics team sits at the intersection of advertising sales, marketing, and client services. We partner across the business to maximize yield, accelerate ad revenue growth, and improve operational efficiency. Our work blends strategic planning, rigorous data analysis, and modern tooling to optimize the monetization of advertising inventory and unlock actionable insights for our stakeholders.

What is the role?

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Revenue Analytics and Insights, to join our growing Revenue Operations team. The role is focused on using internal data and competitive insights to help drive sustainable growth of the ad sales team, in addition to handling activities that help our teams operate efficiently. This role requires strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, ideally paired with knowledge of the media and connected TV (CTV) space, to help advance the business. The Senior Analyst will partner with sales leadership to uncover key opportunities to drive revenue, craft and deliver regular business reviews, and leverage sales reporting infrastructure to extract insights on our most important partners. This position reports to the Director, Revenue Analytics and Insights.

This position is a hybrid role, Monday - Thursday in office with the option to work from home on Friday. This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

For Boston - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $119,000 - $126,000 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. What are the responsibilities of the role?
  • Leverage sales reporting infrastructure to extract new insights on our most important partners, helping to create a more informed perspective on opportunities and threats within the market
  • Partner with sales leadership to uncover key opportunities to drive revenue; provide reporting to track outcomes around these opportunities
  • Craft and deliver regular business reviews (e.g., QBRs) for sales leadership that help us understand the health and trajectory of our business
  • Execute and optimize a slate of regularly scheduled activities, e.g., weekly sales forecasting, quarterly and annual planning, quota administration and sales compensation
  • Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to make recommendations on new reporting infrastructure needed to ensure we are always ahead of the curve
  • Develop the narrative around total opportunity that advertisers or verticals represent, including understanding topline marketing investment, how that investment breaks down by brand, formats, and more; monitor industry-wide trends to understand impact to advertisers and verticals
  • Use third-party tools to fulfill requests initiated by the sales team; develop strategy for incorporating data into our broader reporting portfolio
  • Take a focused but not siloed approach, working in partnership with the broader Revenue Operations team and other cross-functional stakeholders to push forward strategic initiatives that span our core pillars


What experience would help someone be successful in this role at Roku?
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or revenue operations, ideally within the media industry
  • Direct experience partnering with sales or other go-to-market teams and supporting executive leadership
  • Familiarity with the broader advertising landscape or ideally the connected TV (CTV) space
  • Ability to use data to tell a story; comfortable preparing executive-level materials
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, e.g., scenario modeling, macros
  • Working experience with BI/visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Looker, and real-world application of AI into work
  • Deep understanding of data, hierarchies and relationships, and how they relate to business metrics and KPIs
  • High degree of drive and self-motivation and comfort working autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfort working at all levels of a sales organization
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, exhibiting flexibility and strong teamwork
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail, and ability to work on many tasks concurrently
  • Working knowledge of sales terminology and metrics
  • Experience supporting several functional organizations (for example both sales and services); knowledge and understanding of key metrics driving a sales environment
