Full Job Description
As a Senior Analyst, Retirement Plans at RXO, you will lead the day-to-day administration of the company's retirement plans while partnering across Benefits, Finance, HR, and vendors to support broader financial health and welfare initiatives. You will provide analysis, education, and operational support to help employees make informed decisions about their retirement and overall financial well-being. Please note, this reports on site Monday-Thursday at RXO's Headquarters located at 11215 N Community House Rd, Charlotte, NC 28277 and work from home on Fridays! What your day-to-day will look like: Retirement Plan Administration (Primary Focus) • Administer the day-to-day operations of multiple retirement savings plans, serving as the subject matter expert for qualified retirement plans in the U.S. and Canada • Partner with recordkeepers, trustees, payroll, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely plan administration • Analyze and determine eligibility, contribution levels, annual limits, loan availability, and payment requirements for retirement plans, accounting for situations such as employee leave, death, and termination of employment. • Reconcile employee data, required and voluntary contributions, benefit payments, and vendor invoices to ensure financial accuracy and data integrity • Support annual non-discrimination testing and ensure ongoing plan compliance with regulatory requirements • Prepare, reconcile, and submit retirement plan contributions, benefit payments, and vendor invoices • Coordinate U.S. and Canadian retirement plan audits and manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory agencies • Ensure all required regulatory filings are completed accurately and submitted on time • Monitor legislative and industry changes impacting retirement plans and recommend process or design improvements Financial Health & Welfare Program Support (Cross-Functional) • Partner with Benefits, Finance, and vendors to support financial well-being initiatives, including savings, debt management, and retirement readiness programs • Provide analytical support for welfare benefit programs (e.g., medical, dental, vision, life, disability) as needed to support funding, budgeting, and vendor management activities • Analyze trends and utilization data across retirement and welfare programs to inform leadership decision-making and annual planning • Assist with vendor reconciliations, data validation, and process improvements across financial health and welfare programs • Serve as a resource to Benefits team members by providing cross-training and backup support as needed Education & Communication • In partnership with vendors, develop and deliver employee education sessions on retirement and financial well-being topics • Prepare reporting and dashboards for leadership, including plan performance, participation trends, and design recommendations • Support broader benefits communication efforts that reinforce employee financial wellness What you'll need to excel: At a minimum, you'll need: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience • 2+ years of experience in a benefits role with a primary focus on retirement plan administration • Working knowledge of employee benefit regulations (ERISA, IRS, DOL, Canada Revenue Agency, etc.) • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-interpretation skills • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with HR, payroll, and benefits administration systems It'd be great if you also have: • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment • Experience in platforms such as Plan Sponsor Website (PSW), Group Retirement Solutions (GRS), and/or Workday. • Experience creating presentation in PowerPoint • Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship management abilities • ASPPA or CEBS designation Our Benefits • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans • 401(k) retirement plan with up to 5% company match • Pre-tax accounts to help streamline eligible expenses • Company-paid disability and life insurance • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Career and Leadership Development Programs • Paid time off, company holidays, and volunteer days
