Responsibilities

Job Summary

About the Role

Join the team shaping Walgreens' customer-facing digital pharmacy experiences. This individual contributor role will primarily support products and services related to:
  • Prescriptions and refills
  • Insurance information
  • Pharmacy services and digital tools
  • The overall digital pharmacy customer experience

You will work closely with business, design, technology, and engineering partners to turn customer and business needs into clear product features, user stories, and actionable work for development teams. You will also use data and customer insights to help guide product decisions and improve digital experiences.

The ideal candidate is a developing product professional who is excited to learn, contribute, and grow in a highly collaborative, hands-on environment. Successful candidates will bring:
  • Experience in product management, business analysis, or digital product delivery
  • The ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into product features and user stories
  • A foundational understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and connected technology systems
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • The ability to interpret data, recognize trends, and apply insights to product decisions
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and bringing structure to evolving work

The team uses Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Adobe Analytics. Direct experience with these tools is helpful but not required; a strong understanding of product, data, and technology concepts is most important.

The broader team supports digital pharmacy and digital healthcare experiences, including immunizations, testing, and virtual care.

Work Location and Sponsorship
  • This is a hybrid position based in Deerfield, Illinois, with four days per week working onsite and one day working remotely.
  • Walgreens is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.


Job Responsibilities
  • Plans and directs the analysis and gathering of functional requirements used in the design (e.g. use cases and process flows) based on business requirements documents. Works with cross functional teams to analyze business and functional requirements to ensure that all requirements have been discovered and addressed as use cases.
  • Schedules and conducts requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and helps to coordinate the review and signoff of deliverables. Provides status reports and contributes to work plan updates.
  • Provides expertise through the interpretation, synthesis and translation of business requirements throughout the development lifecycle. Recommends ideas to solve business unit issues and add value and streamline processes. Supports existing functionality and systems which require maintenance and support.
  • Works closely with Business, IT, Program and Design teams to facilitate necessary discussions.
  • Assists in development of User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts and works with the business users to conduct UAT.
  • Contributes and assists in the origination of training and communication documentation. Conducts training on new features and enhancements as needed. Conducts demonstrations prior to and following implementation to ensure that the requestors and stakeholders' needs are fully addressed and will be fulfilled by the completion of the initiative.
  • Attends training and educational opportunities to continue employee growth and advancement.
  • Gathers customer, research and industry feedback and analyzes data and proposes actionable items based on information.

External Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience with business analysis and/or reporting data OR a High School Diploma / GED and at least 6 years of experience with business analysis and reporting data
  • Experience collecting/gathering business requirements, such as product search/browse, registration and checkout in a consumer facing digital business environment
  • At least 3 years of experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or information system
  • Experience in the retail industry
  • Experience in digital health or the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Analysis skills with structured and non-structured data
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Experience with AI technologies in emerging spaces
