Job PurposeReporting to the Director of Technology and Innovation, this key role will support NY Gas by using data, analytics, automation, AI, and cross-functional process improvement to solve business problems and improve operational performance. This individual will help translate business needs into practical solutions across reporting, data modernization, predictive analytics, AI-enabled tools, and stakeholder-facing dashboards.
Key Accountabilities- Project manage initiatives with business, IT, data engineering, operations, and external partners to move work from idea to delivery.
- Develop and foster a culture of innovation by identifying opportunities to simplify manual processes, improve data quality, and enable better decision-making.
- Support modernization of reporting and analytics from legacy systems to governed data products, Snowflake curated layers, and Power BI solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to design practical automation, AI agent, and workflow solutions that reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
- Assist leadership with performance reporting, project updates, risk tracking, adoption planning, and executive-ready insights.
- Help coordinate across matrixed teams to solve complex business problems involving data, process, systems, governance, and change management.
Qualifications- A bachelor degree is required.
- A bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, business analytics, or a related field prefered.
- Experience using cloud services for data storage, processing, analytics, and reporting.
- MS Office tools, especially Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, and Copilot.
- Experience with Python, SQL, DAX, M, Azure, Snowflake, APIs, Airflow or workflow orchestration, and automation tools.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Experience supporting predictive models, AI-enabled tools, automation, reporting, or data products that support strategic initiatives.
- Exposure to data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, security roles, and usage or cost monitoring preferred.
