Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

The Senior Analyst, Online Experience Optimization (Personalization) helps create more relevant and engaging shopping experiences for customers on Homedepot.com. Working at the intersection of Merchandising, Product, Marketing, and eCommerce, this role uses customer insights, personalization strategies, and testing to improve how customers discover and shop for products online.

This associate leads the strategy, execution, and measurement of personalization initiatives and A/B tests across key digital experiences. Rather than building complex models or performing deep technical analysis, this role focuses on identifying customer opportunities, translating data into actionable insights, and developing a clear narrative that drives business decisions. The Sr. Analyst partners closely with Data Science, Engineering, Product, and business stakeholders to bring personalization strategies to life and measure their impact.

Success in this role requires strong business acumen, curiosity about customer behavior, and the ability to connect insights to recommendations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with data to understand performance and trends but excels at storytelling, influencing partners, and turning findings into meaningful customer experience improvements. While this is not a hands-on engineering, data science, or highly technical analytics role, the successful candidate will possess the technical literacy needed to collaborate effectively with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to bring personalization strategies to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 40% Analyze customer information (external data, internal research, site behaviors, post-transaction data) to identify the most significant opportunities to improve the customer experience across categories.

  • 30% Identify opportunities to improve taxonomy, purchase path (search and navigation), data content, SEO and post-transaction results through tactical execution.
  • 15% Execute system changes for promotional activity.
  • 15% Develop and execute taxonomy changes in the system necessary to support new onboarding and business changes.

  • Position Reports to Mgr, Catergory Experience.
  • No direct reports.


Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • No travel required


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Proven results in any (but, including most) of the following areas: CI, CRM, customer experience, product content optimization, product management, financial analysis, business analysis, data analytics

  • Strong numeric and advanced analytics aptitude
  • Basic technical aptitude with web-based tools and advanced proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to understand and influence cross-functional inputs to Merchandising for achieving better output results
