Full Job Description
Independently lead end-to-end ODM/CM engagement from RFP through supplier selection, owning all sourcing deliverables during POC, EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP ramp
  • Execute the ODM/CM sourcing strategy for all new product introductions, aligning with category sourcing on selection based on product, volume, and technology requirements of new and upcoming projects
  • Lead make-vs-buy analyses and ODM-vs-Nogales trade-off assessments for new products
  • Participate in DVF/toll gate reviews and ensure sourcing deliverables are met at each development phase
  • Serve as the primary Sourcing representative for NPD teams
  • Collaborate with Program Management to align ODM/CM deliverables with product launch schedules
  • Independently and proactively manage, help support or lead resolution of supplier risks that could impact time-to-market
  • Manage and report on ODM/CM manufacturing capacity, ensuring supply commitments are aligned with product launch timelines and demand forecasts
  • Develop PowerPoint decks covering program status, costs, sourcing risks, decisions, blockers, mitigations, and timelines
  • Lead meetings cross-functionally to facilitate decision making and drive clarity
  • Engage and communicate with Director+ level stakeholders on a regular basis to communicate and align on project status
  • Negotiate project scope agreements (e.g. SOW) including NRE, tooling, unit pricing, capacity commitments, and IP ownership
  • Work with Finance and Product Management on NRE budgets, tooling amortization, and total cost of ownership for make-vs-buy decisions or other analysis purposes
  • Lead supplier meetings as needed; hold suppliers accountable to commitments and conflict resolution
  • Lead basic supplier negotiations as required on a project-by-project basis
  • Partner with Quality to support and enforce supplier quality requirements as needed, including PPAP
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering during design phases to align product requirements with ODM quotation and scope of work.
  • Collaborate with Legal to discuss IP in supplier engagements and work with category sourcing to ensure proper documentation is in place when necessary


  • Minimum Qualifications

    Education/Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience


    Experience:

    • 5-7+ yrs of relevant work experience in supply chain, sourcing, or logistics


    • Demonstrated experience in working cross-functionally with engineering and product development or related teams


    • Supplier relationship management


    • Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable presenting project updates and/or recommendations to senior leadership.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong analytical skills


    • Microsoft Office Suite


    • Demonstrated experience in working cross-functionally with engineering and product development or related teams


    • Supplier relationship management

    • Solid knowledge of Operations (production capacity, lead times), Purchasing (POs, MOQ), Finance (cost structure, profit margin, productivity), Manufacturing (cycle time, MVA, SG&A), Transportation (logistics, incoterms, freight costs)
