About the Role

The Senior Analyst, Intellectual Property & Technology is an integral part of Latham's Legal Professional and Paralegal team. This role will be responsible for utilizing field-specific training and expertise to support the litigation team in intellectual property cases, particularly patent litigation, while leveraging subject matter expertise to analyze technical issues related to intellectual property litigation, specifically, software, electronics, and semiconductor technologies. This role will be located in our San Francisco office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Consulting and collaborating with technical experts to analyze hardware and software technologies and patents
  • Drafting and reviewing technical reports and analyses in support of litigation
  • Distilling complex scientific concepts and explaining them in terms understandable to non-scientists
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical witnesses for their deposition and trial testimony and developing exhibits for trial
  • Reviewing and analyzing patents in complex technical fields
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • A minimum of two (2) years' post-graduate IP-related experience (e.g., industry position with some involvement in or responsibility for IP strategy), preferably
  • Patent bar qualification, preferably

Pay Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.
