Full Job Description
This position requires in-person collaboration up to five days a week. This arrangement is subject to change based on business requirements.

Overview of role:

The Senior Analyst - Integrated Planning plays a critical role in supporting WestJet's multi-year and seasonal planning processes. This position provides analytical support for modelling workstreams, working across commercial, operations, and finance organizations to conduct detailed analysis to drive actionable decision making by senior stakeholders. This role combines elements of integrated business planning, economic / financial analysis, and business case creation to support the development of key operational decisions, initiatives, or capital investments.

Key deliverables include:
  • Lead detailed financial and non-financial analysis in support of multi-year and seasonal planning processes, including (but not limited to) fleet, network, crew, and airport / infrastructure capacity assessments
  • Develop integrated scenario models and planning tools to evaluate operational feasibility and commercial trade-offs across time horizons
  • Conduct detailed financial and economic analysis in partnership with Finance, on proposed schedule or capacity changes, including cost-benefit modeling and profitability impact
  • Coordinate and synthesize inputs across Commercial, Operations, and other functions to ensure alignment on key analyses and deliverables
  • Lead the development of investment business cases, in alignment with multi-year integrated roadmap, including the definition and analysis of scope, timing, costs, benefits, risks and dependencies to inform executive-level decision making on each investment
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to support initiatives tracking, and evaluate cost / benefit outcomes for transformation projects
  • Translate operational performance data into executive-ready insights, leveraging visualization tools such as Power BI to enable decision making


Experience and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field
  • 6-8 years in strategy, network / schedule planning, business analysis or financial analysis
  • Experience in airline, transportation, or complex planning environments preferred
  • Advanced Excel modeling; Power BI, Tableau, or data visualization experience required
  • Experience using Python to develop scripts & automate repetitive business tasks an asset
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross functional communication required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Occasional travel to operational sites or partner facilities may be required
