Full Job Description
As a Senior Analyst, External Reporting at RXO, you will assist with the Company's SEC reporting and external financial reporting processes, including preparation of periodic SEC filings, financial statement disclosures, non-GAAP financial measures and technical accounting analyses. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Preparation of the reporting of all external financial statements (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other SEC submissions), including the income statement, balance sheet, and statements of comprehensive income, equity and cash flow, as well as all Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) sourced footnote data and tables.
  • Coordinate information gathering from various accounting and finance teams.
  • Perform comprehensive tie-outs of financial statements, supporting schedules, and information included in earnings releases and investor presentations.
  • Assist in developing disclosures related to significant transactions and accounting events.
  • Collect, review, and analyze all HFM webform-related data required for the financial statements (e.g., statements of cash flow, supplemental footnote information and tables, and account roll-forward items) and all GAAP to non-GAAP reporting.
  • Support review and preparation of earnings release materials and investor communications.
  • Prepare non-GAAP reconciliations for earnings releases and investor presentations.
  • Monitor and assess new accounting pronouncements for potential impact and discourses in 10-Q/10-K
  • Assess disclosures to ensure consistency across SEC filings, earnings materials and other external communications.
  • Support management's assessment of internal control over financial reporting and maintain controls related to SEC financial and reporting disclosures.


What you'll need to excel:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
  • Experience with Workiva and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) financial reporting/consolidation software
  • Solid aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources
  • Ability to manipulate complex information and large datasets using Microsoft Excel


It'd be great if you also have:

  • Master's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field
  • CPA certification
  • 5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience, preferably with a Big 4 auditing firm
  • The ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
  • The ability to produce unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations
