Job Description

Human Resources Services (HRS) is an internal function providing global operations and business support across Brookfield's lines of business.

Responsibilities

Equity Compensation Administration
  • Lead the administration of global equity compensation plans, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of transactions in compliance with plan rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for various components of plan administration, supporting internal stakeholders and/or plan participants.
  • Manage and optimize equity administration platforms, including Shareworks and related vendor systems, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • Oversee the preparation, validation, and reconciliation of recurring and ad hoc equity compensation reports.
  • Partner with Payroll, Tax, Finance, and external advisors to ensure accurate multi-jurisdictional tax withholding and reporting.
  • Lead audit, compliance, and control activities, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver participant communications, educational materials, and training resources related to equity compensation programs.
  • Perform analyses supporting payroll validation, accounting treatment, financial disclosures, and executive compensation reporting.
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and market developments impacting equity compensation programs and recommend appropriate actions.

Process Improvement & Governance
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices across equity administration and related compensation activities.
  • Develop, document, and maintain process guides, controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Participate in special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and compensation-related initiatives as required.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the broader team.


Qualifications & Requirements
  • 4-7+ years of progressive experience in equity compensation, compensation, HR operations, payroll, finance, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of equity compensation plans, including stock options, restricted stock, deferred share units, and related taxation and regulatory requirements in Canada and the United States.
  • Experience administering equity compensation programs using Shareworks (Morgan Stanley at Work) or a similar equity administration platform
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, Power Query, lookups, data modeling, and complex analytical functions.
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, and financial reporting processes is considered an asset.
  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • CECP, CCP, CEP, or related professional designation is considered an asset.
