Your Role at Baxter

The Senior Analyst, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Data & Reporting will support the company's ESG reporting, data management, assurance, and regulatory readiness activities. This role will work closely with Sustainability, Finance, Operations, Legal, Internal Audit, and external assurance providers to ensure the integrity, completeness, and reliability of ESG data and disclosures.

The Senior Analyst will play a key role in supporting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting, sustainability disclosures, internal controls, assurance activities, and readiness for emerging sustainability reporting regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a rapidly evolving area of corporate reporting while helping strengthen the organization's ESG reporting framework and compliance capabilities. 

This is a remote position based in the United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the collection, validation, analysis, and documentation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data, supporting both voluntary disclosures and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Support greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting activities, including Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions data management, emissions calculations, data quality reviews, and preparation of assurance-ready reporting packages.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Sustainability, Operations, Procurement, Real Estate, Legal, and other functions to resolve data gaps, validate reporting assumptions, and ensure timely completion of ESG reporting deliverables.

  • Prepare ESG performance dashboards, management reporting, and sustainability disclosures, while supporting the annual publication of sustainability reports and other external reporting requirements.

  • Assist with sustainability reporting governance and global compliance activities, including reporting boundary assessments, legal entity scoping, regulatory readiness efforts, and coordination of international reporting requirements.

  • Coordinate external assurance and internal audit activities, including evidence collection, documentation management, stakeholder follow-up, control testing support, and remediation tracking.

  • Maintain ESG reporting process documentation and support the execution of internal controls designed to enhance the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reported information.

  • Manage project plans, action logs, milestones, and stakeholder communications across ESG reporting initiatives while identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase automation. 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, accounting, finance, audit, compliance, internal controls, reporting, or a related analytical function.

  • Strong data analysis skills with experience working with large datasets, reporting systems, databases, or data management platforms.

  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support reporting activities.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of ESG reporting, greenhouse gas accounting, sustainability frameworks (CSRD, ESRS, ISSB, SASB, GRI, TCFD, etc.), or ESG technology platforms such as Watershed is preferred.

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who can build relationships, improve processes, maintain strong controls, and deliver high-quality, audit-ready reporting in a fast-paced environment.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses.
