National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, Analytics & Operational Insights. This hybrid role can sit in either our Syracuse NY or Albany NY location. Position SummaryThe Senior Analyst, Pipeline Safety Analytics & Operational Insights supports the Incident Analysis & Corrective Actions (IACA) team through advanced analytics, reporting, continuous improvement, and operational support activities. This role helps drive proactive risk reduction by transforming Pipeline Safety data into actionable insights while supporting incident analysis processes, corrective action effectiveness, and organizational learning initiatives.
Key AccountabilitiesAnalytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement- Analyze Pipeline Safety incident, Near Miss, Good Catch, and corrective action data to identify trends, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Lead Good Catch trend analysis, corrective action effectiveness reviews, and performance reporting.
- Support data governance, reporting automation, and AI-enabled process improvements.
- Communicate actionable insights and recommendations to support proactive risk management and operational decision-making.
Operational Support- Facilitate and support Incident Analyses and root cause investigations using Taproot and other approved methodologies.
- Support identification of causal factors, root causes, recurring trends, and opportunities for risk reduction.
- Partner with Operations and Pipeline Safety stakeholders to support implementation and spread of lessons learned and corrective actions.
- Provide analytical and operational support for strategic initiatives, regulatory readiness activities, and special projects.
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, trend identification, performance reporting, and translating complex information into actionable insights required.
- 2+ years of experience developing dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar analytics platforms required.
- Experience supporting operations, safety, compliance, risk management, or a related regulated environment preferred.
- Knowledge of incident investigation methodologies, root cause analysis (e.g., Taproot), corrective action management, or continuous improvement processes preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Salary
$95,000 - $111,000 a year
