Responsibilities
As a Senior Software / Algorithm Designer in our Aerospace and Defense engineering team, focused on theNext Generation Ground Reference ReceiversandDefense Receiverproducts, you will play a critical role in:
- Designing and developing robust GNSS signal processing and tracking algorithms for GNSS receivers, from concept and prototyping through to production software.
- Developing signal processing, position, navigation, and timing (PNT) software for both ground reference receivers and defense user receivers.
- Leading algorithm development across the receiver signal chain 1 acquisition, tracking, demodulation, and measurement generation 1 under challenging RF and interference conditions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate software and algorithm solutions on software-defined radio (SDR) platforms.
- Mentoring junior developers and guiding the team in best practices for software and algorithm development, including design reviews, code reviews, and test libraries.
- Contributing to team growth through personal skill enhancement, continuous improvement initiatives, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Education:Bachelor's or master's degree in Geomatics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:10+ years of proven experience in software and algorithm development, with a demonstrated background in GNSS receiver software development. Experience in aerospace, automotive, or telecommunications is an asset.
- Programming Skills:Proficiency in C++ software development on embedded platforms and in Python.
- Signal Processing:Solid understanding of signal processing concepts such as filtering, Fourier transforms, convolution, and spectral analysis.
- Algorithms:Strong familiarity with algorithms for signal acquisition, tracking, and demodulation, and the ability to translate algorithm designs into production receiver software.
- Tools:Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and hardware/software debugging tools such as JTAG.
- Soft Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and clear communication.
- Documentation:Ability to author and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and test reports.
