Position Overview
As a senior air quality permitting and compliance professional, you will play a key role in our Environmental Permitting and Compliance practice group, where you will lead and support projects, strengthen client relationships, mentor junior staff, and help deliver high-quality results for industrial, energy, and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain strong internal and external client relationships through project work and in-person engagement.
· Lead project teams, managing execution, client communication, and overall project deliverables.
· Prepare and review proposals for projects of varying complexity.
· Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
· Mentor and support junior staff.
· Comply with applicable client health and safety policies and procedures.
· Perform, direct, and review technical work for air permitting and compliance projects, including:
· Permit by Rule (PBR), case-by-case New Source Review (NSR) and Title V permit applications.
· Interpretation and application of state and federal air quality regulations.
· Emissions calculations and equipment evaluations.
· Air quality impact assessments using SCREEN3 and/or AERSCREEN.
· Development of client air quality compliance programs.
· Preparation of technical reports and other project documents.

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
· A minimum of 7 years Texas-specific air quality permitting and compliance experience, with 10-12 years total air permitting experience; experience in additional states is preferred.
· Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal air quality rules and regulations as they apply to industrial, energy, and commercial clients.
· Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
· Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
· Preferred but not required:
· Professional Engineer (PE) license.
· Experience preparing Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permit applications.
· Experience with air dispersion modeling using AERMOD, supported by a working knowledge of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Appendix W.
· Experience auditing client air quality programs.

Compensation Range:
$96,000.00 - $144,000.00
