POSITION SUMMARY

Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Senior AI Recruiter, who thrives in a high-velocity, high-stakes hiring environment and knows how to leverage modern recruiting technology to move faster without sacrificing quality. This role blends sharp talent instincts with AI-driven tools and data-informed process improvement to identify, engage, and close top-tier aerospace talent — from initial sourcing through offer. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for engineering, operations, technical, and corporate roles, driving speed and quality across the entire hiring funnel.

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract specialized talent, including niche aerospace skill sets, leveraging AI-powered tools to scan web databases, screen resumes, and match candidates to open roles using match-score technology.

  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, role requirements, and long-term talent plans.

  • Develop and manage candidate pipelines for high-demand roles such as flight software engineers, avionics specialists, program managers, and systems engineers.

  • Conduct behavioral and technical screening to assess qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with program requirements, utilizing conversational AI, chat assistants, and bots to automate early-stage screening and streamline interview coordination without manual delays.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific hiring regulations, including OFCCP and export-control requirements.

  • Drive employer branding initiatives to strengthen the company's presence in aerospace tech talent markets.

  • Use data and analytics to track recruiting performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements that reduce overall time-to-fill and refine recruiting best practices.

  • Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • 5–8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including at least 3 years in aerospace, high-tech manufacturing, or advanced engineering environments.

  • Proven success sourcing and closing specialized technical talent in competitive or cleared markets.

  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems and AI-powered sourcing and matching tools; experience with Workday and LinkedIn Recruiter preferred.

  • Track record of driving results in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, with the sound judgment to problem-solve proactively and positively impact hard challenges.

  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality results.

  • Ability to recommend and implement modernized recruiting techniques, automation tools, and process improvements that measurably improve time-to-fill and candidate quality.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Requirements

  • This position may require access to export controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In accordance with U.S. export control laws, final candidates may be required to undergo additional export control screening to determine eligibility for access. Meeting these requirements is a condition of employment.
