Full Job Description
The Senior Advisor, Strategic HR Projects plays a pivotal role in leading complex HR initiatives across project, program, and portfolio levels within the HR Project Management Office. This role is responsible for driving alignment, governance, prioritization, and execution across a portfolio of strategic HR work. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders including senior enterprise leadership within and outside HR, IT partners, and external vendors.

The role is based in Houston, TX.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and execute complex projects with enterprise-wide impacts including defining project scope, objectives, setting budgets, and develop project plans outlining timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
  • Provide guidance and governance for individual projects, including project scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting, while proactively identifying issues and recommending solutions to support successful execution.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide status reporting and insights to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and updates to team members and large groups of stakeholders while building alignment, managing expectations, and incorporating feedback to inform decisions.
  • Lead integrated delivery across multiple related projects within a program, managing dependencies, risks, sequencing, and stakeholder decisions to support enterprise priorities.
  • Influence cross-functional teams, project sponsors, and senior stakeholders to align priorities, resolve tradeoffs, and drive decisions across strategic initiatives.
  • Provide stakeholders and project sponsors a clear view into active projects, status and resourcing.
  • Ensure consistency in project management practices by establishing, implementing and advising on best practices, standards and methodology.
  • Drive standardization and develop internal playbooks for various project types including new technology implementations, mergers, acquisitions, asset closures and divestitures.
  • Key contact point for M&A diligence relating to people matters including coordination of various COE resources
  • Own and evolve HR PMO governance, standards, tools, and playbooks to improve consistency, prioritization, and execution across the HR portfolio.
  • Stay current on project management best practices such as AI advancements in the field.
  • Ensure project management practices are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies, including global privacy regulations.


What You'll Bring - Required

  • 6 or more years of consulting or project management experience supporting cross-functional, enterprise-level initiatives

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $160,200 - $195,800.
