Full Job Description
Overview

The Senior Advisor will provide executive-level strategic guidance to support the development, positioning, and transition of the project initiative from prototype through pilot execution and operational deployment. This role serves as the principal advisor on government engagement, national security strategy, interagency coordination, commercialization planning, and strategic partnerships. Working closely with leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders, the Senior Advisor will align the program with government and contract priorities, strengthen relationships across federal agencies and international partners, identify funding opportunities, and develop the strategic framework necessary to support long-term adoption of the capability.

 

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive government engagement strategy supporting project.
  • Identify and prioritize executive decision-makers, acquisition officials, operational users, and policy leaders across relevant federal agencies.
  • Develop agency influence assessments, stakeholder engagement plans, and engagement matrices.
  • Identify organizations requiring formal collaboration and develop MOU/MOA frameworks.
  • Coordinate strategic relationships with DHS, CBP, U.S. Coast Guard, DOE/NNSA, DTRA, Department of State, Port Authorities, and international customs organizations.
  • Identify international counterparts and develop priority country engagement strategies.
  • Identify federal and international funding opportunities and develop transition and commercialization roadmaps.
  • Prepare executive briefing materials, white papers, talking points, one-page summaries, and strategic communications products.
  • Develop the roadmap from pilot validation through operational deployment and recommend expansion priorities.
  • Build strategic relationships with federal agencies, Congressional offices, industry, maritime stakeholders, and international partners.
  • Advise leadership on government strategy, acquisition pathways, policy implications, and national security priorities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in public policy, national security, law, business, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years supporting U.S. Government, DoD, homeland security, or national security programs.
  • Experience engaging senior government officials and executive stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition, technology transition, and interagency coordination.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in public policy, national security, law, business, engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Be able to successfully build and work within high performance teams in an entrepreneurial environment.
