About Pricing:

Our Treaty Pricing team is a collaborative global team of pricing analysts and actuaries tasked with building a complete and consistent view of risk for reinsurance transactions across the organisation. We partner closely with underwriting teams to produce accurate pricing analyses and loss estimates for reinsurance transactions. Our work ranges from analyzing large datasets to developing bespoke methodologies, all grounded in precision, expertise, and continuous improvement. We emphasize teamwork, learning, and innovation to adapt to evolving market dynamics.

About the Position:

Reporting within the team based in Miami.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile, clean, and interrogate data from internal and external data sources
  • Perform analysis and modelling for assumed per-risk and proportional submissions
  • Use RenaissanceRe pricing tools to price and represent risks
  • Collaborate with the actuarial teams across the global organization and follow consistent pricing practices and approaches
  • Assist on portfolio-wide and class-specific projects
  • Communicate pricing results effectively to analysts and underwriters
  • Contribute to the mission of the organization by implementing its operational plans and strategies and advocating for its corporate values and culture
  • Monitor industry trends and deepen understanding of market characteristics using both proprietary and publicly available data

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field.
  • Expectation of, or currently active in, pursuing actuarial credential (ACAS, FCAS)
  • Proficient knowledge of probability and statistics
  • 3-6 years of insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills desired, in particular MS Excel and PowerBI
  • Programming knowledge desirable (e.g. R, Python, SQL, or VBA), with a focus on data manipulation and automation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to different audiences
  • Strong analytical skills; problem-solving through a numerical, structured, logical approach and an ability to work under pressure and to meet challenging deadlines
  • An ability to solve complex issues with pragmatic solutions
  • Challenges the status quo and identifies innovative solutions to solve problems and improve work process
  • Proficiency in Spanish is required
