Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process for accurate and timely reporting
  • Review financial statements and approve various journal entries
  • Create and review detailed quarterly account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist in preparing reports for regulatory agencies
  • Review and update internal controls over financials
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions
  • Support weekly cash forecasting preparation
  • Collaborate on special projects as needed
  • Oversee a team including Accounts Payable, Billing, and Payroll

Responsibilities

Highlights of Responsibilities:
  • Lead month-end close processes by ensuring timely and accurate reporting (6 workday close)
  • Review and examine financial statements to approve various journal entries
  • Create and review/approve detailed quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial Statement preparation and support
  • Assists in preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies
  • Review/update internal controls over financials
  • Identifies potential areas for improvement and provides solutions.
  • Support preparation of weekly cash forecasting
  • Collaborates with others on special projects
  • Performs other accounting related duties as assigned by management
  • Management Responsibilities:
    • Direct Reports = 5
      • Accounts Payable
      • Billing
      • Payroll


Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Active CPA license required
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel
  • Unanet experience a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting related position in government contracting
