Job Summary

Uphold has a unique model and is well-placed to provide infrastructure to traditional financial firms as it embraces blockchain. The Senior Accounting Manager, Product Control will lead initiatives to automate and scale the financial close process in alignment with public company reporting standards and work with the necessary teams to improve automation and data integrity across the revenue reporting pipeline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close for digital assets process, ensuring accuracy and completeness under US GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 350-60).
  • Reconcile in-house digital assets ledger activity to the general ledger, partnering with financial operations and data teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Establish clear performance objectives, execute reviews, and cultivate talent to support organizational growth and sophisticated reporting requirements.
  • Works independently, take initiative and be able to think on their feet. Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Partner with FP&A on revenue reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting inputs, providing accounting-to-actuals commentary on a recurring basis.
  • Liaise with external auditors related to specific areas of responsibility, including preparation of audit schedules.
  • Support completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned.


Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 6+ years of accounting experience in technology, or financial services company.
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field, CPA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and application of GAAP and ability to execute, follow up, and ensure
    attention to detail.
  • Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think "outside the box".

Salary of $ 125K to $ 185K + Bonus, DOE
