Senior Accounting Associate I – JLL

What this job involves:

As a Senior Accounting Associate I at JLL, you will perform professional-level accounting duties that maintain the financial integrity of our operations. This role is essential to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and exceptional service delivery to our clients. You will work with moderately complex financial transactions while supporting budget preparation, annual audits, and year-end closings. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to JLL's commitment to financial excellence and client satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in compliance with contract terms and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations with precision and timeliness
  • Execute month-end and year-end close activities, including balance sheet and cash account reconciliations and financial statement preparation
  • Prepare and document journal entries, reclass entries, and accruals according to established standards
  • Perform monthly client invoicing as part of Integrated Facilities Management agreements for designated sites
  • Support cash management activities, including check processing and reconciliations
  • Review expense reports and purchasing card transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate guidelines
  • Oversee accounts receivable maintenance and research, focusing on items over 30 days past due to meet AR objectives and metrics
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements with variance analysis, including supporting revenue schedules, labor reports, and expense reviews

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience
  • Advanced accounting and analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Real estate accounting experience
  • Experience with real estate accounting software (MRI, Skyline, Timberline)
  • JD Edwards E1 knowledge
  • Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic
  • Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to client service delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within teams to build effective business partner relationships
  • Proven ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and prioritize effectively to meet client needs

Location: Kaneohe, HI | Onsite

Estimated compensation for this position:

85,000.00 – 95,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
