POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Accountantis responsible forensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of YPO's financial records throughtimelymonth-end close activities, general ledger accounting, reconciliationsincompliance with U.S. GAAP. This role partners closely with departments across the organization to support financial operations, improve accounting processes, andmaintainstrong internal controls.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys solvingcomplexaccounting issues, driving process improvements, and working in a collaborative global organization with multi-currency operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of assigned balance sheet accountsby preparingtimelyreconciliations and resolving reconciling items.

  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, allocations, foreign currency (FX) gain/loss entries, and other adjusting entries.

  • Evaluate and provide variance explanations forvarious line items onmonth-end and year-to-date financial statements as assigned.Provide support totheAccounting ManagerandController duringthe yearon various financial projects, inquiries,analysisandannual financial audit.

  • Serve asAccountingPartner and advisor to managers of assigned departments and programs. Responsibilities include monthly presentation of financial data, responding to inquiries,analyzingand researchingtransactions, entering correction entries, providing historical reports and analysis, etc. as needed.

  • Complete various assigned audit schedules,reportsand yearend adjusting entries as assigned.

  • Evaluate and approve payment requests for assigned departmentsand programs.

  • Research andmaintaincurrent knowledge of GAAP requirements foraccuratereporting of various issues.

  • Create and streamline processes to improve accuracy and time management of current procedures.

  • Manage special projects as assigned.

  • Crosstrainto learn other roles in the Finance Department.

  • Accountable for applying YPO Policies & Procedures consistently and accurately.

  • Identifyopportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance operational efficiency through automation and standardization.

  • 5+yearsprogressive accounting experience.

  • Highproficiencyin Microsoft Office skills,especially inExcel.

  • Multi-currency accounting experience preferred.

  • Accounting software experiencerequired,Certiniaexperience preferred.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelorsand/ormasters degree in accounting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate members and team members in multiple time zones.

  • Ability to work for extended hours at a computer screen.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, without restrictions, approximately 5% per year
