Full Job Description
About the role

As a Senior Accountant at Mytra, you will join our Finance team during a period of growth and transformation. Our team is currently focused on building scalable financial operations to support rapid company expansion, and we need a proactive, detail-oriented professional to help us establish reliable accounting processes, ensure payroll accuracy, and strengthen our financial foundation as we scale.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end payroll processing using Rippling, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements for all employees across pay cycles
  • Manage accounts payable operations: reviewing, coding, and processing invoices while maintaining vendor relationships and payment schedules
  • Support month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance in NetSuite
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and other functional department leads to implement and improve accounting processes as the company grows
  • Monitor and reconcile company spend using Ramp, flagging discrepancies and ensuring expenses are properly categorized and approved

Ideal Candidates

  • Have proven and extensive experience with full-cycle payroll processing, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting in a fast-paced or startup environment
  • Have working knowledge of NetSuite, Rippling, and Ramp or similar ERP, payroll, and expense management platforms
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or Hardware company with exposure to inventory accounting, 3-Way match, or cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Demonstrate a collaborative, team-first mindset with the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and surface issues before they become problems
  • Are self-motivated and take ownership of their work, able to manage competing priorities with minimal oversight during a period of organizational change
  • Communicate clearly and proactively across teams, translating financial information into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Nice to have:

  • CPA certification or active pursuit, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth in accounting
  • Experience helping build or formalize accounting processes from the ground up in an early-stage or high-growth company
  • Familiarity with California wage & hour regulations and payroll compliance requirements
  • Experience working with Rippling, ADP or similar HRIS system

A Final Note:

If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply - even if you don't check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we're lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last

Benefits Include:

  • Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high-growth company backed by top-tier VCs
  • Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical (baseline plans), dental, and vision for employees and dependents
  • 401(k) plans and employer-subsidized life insurance
  • Fully subsidized lunch and snacks at HQ-we eat and share stories together at the "long" table
  • Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including one week over the winter break so everyone can recharge together
  • Voluntary pet insurance, Voluntary Life Insurance, Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
  • Fully subsidized tax advisory services and education to help you understand your equity
  • Commuter benefits, including a up to $150 monthly commuter benefit
  • Lively, modern combined office and lab space where we rapidly iterate through design, build, and test phases
  • Fully equipped onsite gym and showers at headquarters
