Full Job Description
Strategic Growth Partners (SGP) is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This position can be remote or in person or a hybrid. Clients are located all over the USA. We don't expect regular travel for this position, although there might be an occasional work trip to visit a client. There is an expectation to be onsite in the office in Newark, CA during the onboarding and training for this position, and one some regular cadence if candidate is not based near the office.

Workplace Type: Remote/Hybrid, Newark, CA.

Compensation: W-2. $80,000 - $120,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:
• An ideal candidate can jump in and hit the ground running immediately.
• Someone who can support multiple client companies and be able to effectively change context. throughout the day, and still maintain professional work quality.
• Maintain client books on a real time basis.
• Prepares financial statements under US GAAP.
• Assists in compliance with developing controls, policies, and procedures.
• Experience supporting Federal Contracts and familiar with DCAA, FAR Clauses, Cost Accounting, and/or Construction Projects is a major plus.
• Liaise with HR on all payroll related matters.
• Collaborate with other SGP divisions on special projects.
• Provide information to external accountants for audit, tax return preparation.
• Coordinate with other client company partners (vendors, insurance carriers, etc.).
• Work with Surety for bonding facility companies etc.
• Effective and timely communication.
• Well organized, structured, and prepared to work with un-organized client situations.
• Provide thoughtful recommendations that are backed by data and analysis.

Assist COO, CFO, Client Managers and Controller in:
• Budget preparation, monitoring, and performance measurement on a regular basis.
• Tracking projects and provide critical analysis of project costs.
• Support in cash flow management.
• Compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Liaise with service providers for accounting purposes.
• Preparing Board reports.

Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Must have at least 3 years of experience working with Government Contracts across a variety of industries like IT, Construction, Defense, etc.
• Must have hands on experience and an ability to train junior team members on DCAA, FARs, CAS, and other Federal Compliance standards and their impact on finance and accounting tasks.
• Ability to work in an open, fast-paced, office under high pressure and numerous deadlines.
• Ready for challenges. Knows how to prioritize work. Able to utilize new technology tools to manage and coordinate client tasks and projects.
• Knowledgeable with HR policies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated team management and interpersonal skills.
• Technology savvy and can handle video calls, emails, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Adaptable and willing to learn.
