HOURGLASS COSMETICS - Senior Accountant (Hybrid Role)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of our growing consumer products business. This role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, overseeing accounting operations, and partnering across functions to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with experience in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

WHAT YOU DO
  • Perform accounting functions, including but not limited to month-end close, intercompany accounting, leases, financial reporting, and fixed assets
  • Manage/prepare taxes; corporate income tax, indirect taxes (sales and use tax), and other taxes/business licenses
  • Support the Accounts Payable function on month-end tasks related to prepaids, accruals, and vendor management
  • Prepare and review closing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Support annual audit and liaise with external auditors, ensuring all schedules and documentation are prepared accurately and on time
  • Aid in compliance with internal controls, and corporate policies
  • Assists with various accounting functions in problem resolution as needed and special projects

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in consumer/manufacturing industry
  • BA/BS required
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls frameworks
  • Audit or Big4 experience a strong plus
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of data management tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly collaborative, detail oriented and resourceful
  • Must be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the time

The expected base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.

This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
